Barbadian designer featured in Vogue launches brand


Shanice Taylor, the local designer whose work was worn by international Barbadian-born pop star, Rihanna, and who was later featured by Vogue Magazine, launched her eponymous brand.

Gifted to Rihanna by her best friend Melissa, Taylor’s crochet piece garnered international attention and sparked a surge in orders from those looking to own one of her designs.

Her story of strength, resilience and triumph continues to captivate many and the Westbury native has sought to weave these themes under her new brand, Shanice Taylor.

Humiliated by her meteoric rise, Taylor expressed her desire to “create pieces that inspire those who wear them to express themselves with confidence.” She told The Barbados Advocate that she will be hosting a fashion show in the future.
