ZAGREB, Dec 30 (Hina) – Members of the assembly of the Croatian Tourist Board (HTZ) on Wednesday decided to change the network of HTZ offices abroad in 2022 with the aim of gradually expanding communication and promotional activities on other markets that have additional growth potential.

The decision mainly concerns the Ukrainian market, where Croatia has achieved excellent results this year. According to the HTZ, Ukrainians have generated around 860,000 overnight stays so far this year, an increase of 2% from the same period in the record year 2019.

“Considering the potential for further growth, … it is estimated that an office in Kiev would significantly contribute to the achievement of the objectives of this market,” said the HTZ.

The HTZ assembly also adopted the annual work program 2022, and the basic objective is to position Croatia as the most popular destination in the Mediterranean and to reach 90% of tourism turnover from 2019. .

The annual program was adopted at the 2nd session of the HTZ assembly, which was held online.
