Murray State hosts Big 12 Foe Oklahoma for Sunday clash
Murray State Women’s Soccer wraps up its 2022 non-conference schedule with Big 12 opponent Oklahoma at Cutchin Field Sunday at 12 p.m. The match will be the first between the Racers and the Sooners.
Coming off the 200th win in program history in their last outing against Lindenwood, MSU is looking to build some decisive momentum heading into the inaugural season in the Missouri Valley. Led by goalscorers Lauren Payne, Riley Johnsonand Grace Bodker and reigning MVC Defensive Player of the Week Camille BarbierMurray State will be looking to earn its first-ever victory against a Big 12 opponent this weekend.
Morgan Bodker continues to beat the Racers in goal with two on the year while Barber, Sidney Etterand Saraya Young lead MSU in assists with two apiece.
Oklahoma comes to Murray, Ky. with a 4-2-2 record and has posted big scores in its last two games. The Sooners combined for nine goals in wins over Oral Roberts and East Tennessee State.
Bri Amos and Emma Hawkins lead OU with four goals each while Alexis Washington has provided four assists during the campaign.
Olivia Ramey and Makinzie Short have split time in front of goal, with Ramey playing nearly 300 minutes and Short earning just over 400 minutes this season.
