Plex names Magnite a favorite SSP
NEW YORK—Sell-side advertising platform Magnite announced that Plex, an ad-supported global media streaming platform, has named Magnite as its preferred supply-side advertising platform (SSP) and SpringServe as its primary ad server.
Plex made the decision after seeing impressive year-over-year revenue and user growth on both platforms.
SpringServe, now part of Magnite, is a TV ad serving platform, specifically designed for OTT, CTV and video ads.
“Having Magnite and SpringServe in our corner over the past few years has been key to the tremendous growth of our ad-supported business, especially over the past 6-9 months,” said Harold Morgenstern, CRO at Plex. “As the CTV landscape becomes increasingly saturated, it was critical for us to have access to their skilled teams and video-focused technologies that allow us to provide full transparency to our advertising partners and maintain experiences. quality and brand-safe viewing experience offered by CTV. ”
Magnite’s dedicated CTV platform gives Plex greater access to premium inventory and technology that enhances the ad experience in a full-screen video environment, while SpringServe’s core video ad serving capabilities provide greater understanding, transparency and control of available supply, the companies said.
“Plex is at the forefront of the FAST and AVOD landscape with over 200 channels and 50,000 titles fully primed to take advantage of the accelerated growth of this ad-supported streaming industry. We are excited to continue our relationship with Plex and help them grow their ad-supported business,” said Mike Laband, senior vice president, CTV at Magnite. “The results so far speak for themselves and we look forward to continuing the upward trajectory of our collaboration.”
